Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heavens are rent asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man, what seduced you from your munificent Lord 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 and composed thee after what form He would? 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble scribes, 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
