The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Al-Qari'ah (the striking Hour i.e. the Day of Resurrection), 1 What is the terrible calamity! 2 Would that you knew what the crash is! 3 On that day, people will be like scattered moths 4 and the mountains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Then as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be heavy, 6 He shall live a pleasant life. 7 But as for one whose scales are light, 8 He will have his home in Hawiyah (pit, i.e. Hell). 9 And what shall make thee know that which she is? 10 (It is) a Fire which is extremely hot. 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
