▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
But for such as fear the time when they will stand before (the Judgment Seat of) their Lord, there will be two Gardens- 46 (jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 47 [two gardens] of many wondrous hues. 48 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 49 therein two fountains of running water -- 50 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 51 In them there are pairs of each kind of fruit. 52 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 53 [They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low. 54 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 55 Upon thrones are the women who do not gaze at men except their husbands, and before them, are untouched by any man or jinn. 56 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 57 (In beauty) like the jacynth and the coral-stone. 58 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 59 Is there any reward for good other than good? 60 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 61 And besides these two are two (other) gardens: 62 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 63 The greenest of green pastures. 64 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 65 In them (both) will be two springs gushing forth water. 66 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 67 With fruits in them, and dates and pomegranates -- 68 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 69 There will be well-disciplined, beautiful maidens. 70 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 71 Houris (beautiful, fair females) restrained in pavilions; 72 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 73 untouched before them by any man or jinn -- 74 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets. 76 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 77 Blessed be the Name of your Lord, Majestic, Splendid. 78
