And verily, the dwellers of Al-Hijr (the rocky tract) denied the Messengers. 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 And they used to carve from the mountains, houses, feeling secure. 82 But the (mighty) Blast seized them of a morning, 83 So nothing availed them [from] what they used to earn. 84 We created not the heavens, the earth, and all between them, but for just ends. And the Hour is surely coming (when this will be manifest). So overlook (any human faults) with gracious forgiveness. 85 Lo! Thy Lord! He is the All-Wise Creator. 86 We have given thee seven of the oft-repeated, and the mighty Koran. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say: "I am a distinct warner," 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 Who have made the Quran into parts. (i.e. believed in a part and disbelieved in the other). 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 As to what they did. 93 Therefore publicly announce what you are commanded, and turn away from the polytheists. 94 We shall help you against those who mock you 95 those who set up another deity alongside Allah. They shall soon come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 But you should glorify your Lord with praises, and be among those who bow in submission; 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
