Certainly Aaron had said to them even before (the return of Moses): "My people, you were fallen into error because of the calf. Surely your Lord is Most Compassionate; so follow me and obey my command." 90 [But] they answered: "By no means shall we cease to worship it until Moses comes back to us!" 91 But (Moses) said: "O Aaron, when you saw that they had gone astray, what hindered you 92 That thou followedst me not? Hast thou then disobeyed my order? 93 "O son of my mother," (Aaron cried), do not pull me by my beard or my hair! I was really afraid you may say that I had created a rift among the children of Israel, and did not pay heed to your command." 94 (Moses) said: And what hast thou to say, O Samiri? 95 He said: I perceived what they perceive not, so I seized a handful from the footsteps of the messenger, and then threw it in. Thus my soul commended to me. 96 [Moses] said, "Then go. And indeed, it is [decreed] for you in [this] life to say, 'No contact.' And indeed, you have an appointment [in the Hereafter] you will not fail to keep. And look at your 'god' to which you remained devoted. We will surely burn it and blow it into the sea with a blast. 97 Your Lord is the One who is the only God and He has the knowledge of all things. 98 Thus We tell you, (Muhammad), the stories of the past and We have given you the Quran. 99 All who shall turn away from it will, verily, bear a [heavy] burden on the Day of Resurrection: 100 and live in it for ever; how evil will that burden be for them on the Day of Resurrection. 101 The Day when the Trumpet will be blown (the second blowing): that Day, We shall gather the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, etc.) Zurqa: (blue or blind eyed with black faces). 102 They shall whisper among themselves: "You stayed on the earth barely ten days." 103 We are most knowing of what they say when the best of them in manner will say, "You remained not but one day." 104
