Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Do men think that We shall never be able to assemble their bones? 3 Yes indeed; We are able to shape again his fingers. 4 But man wishes to do wrong (even) in the time in front of him. 5 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Resurrection?' 6 But when the sight is dazed 7 the moon eclipsed. 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together, 9 On that day man will cry out, “Where shall I flee?” 10 But nay: no refuge [for thee, O man]! 11 With thy Sustainer, on that Day, the journey's end will be! 12 That Day will Man be told (all) that he put forward, and all that he put back. 13 In fact, people are well-aware of their own soul 14 even though he offers his excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay, (ye men!) but ye love the fleeting life, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 How many faces will be refulgent on that Day, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 and it is said, 'Who is an enchanter?' 27 the while he [himself] knows that this is the parting, 28 And one shank is entangled with the other shank. 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30
