The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 And by the Night when it is still,- 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee, 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 and him that seeks [thy] help shalt thou never chide, 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
