The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. 1 These are the verses of the illustrious Book. 2 Perhaps you will kill yourself with grief because they do not believe. 3 If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 they have indeed rejected the message. But the truth of what they laughed to scorn will dawn upon them before long. 6 Do they not see the earth, how many of every noble kind We have caused to grow in it? 7 Surely, in this there is a sign yet most of them do not believe. 8 Your Lord is the Majestic and the All-merciful. 9
