The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Read! In the Name of your Lord, Who has created (all that exists), 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Read and your Lord is Most Honorable, 3 Who hath taught mankind by the pen 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening 6 For he thinks he is sufficient in himself. 7 Surely to your Lord is your return. 8 What thinkest thou? He who forbids 9 A servant when he prays? 10 Have you thought, if he had been on guidance 11 Or enjoined guarding (against evil)? 12 What is your opinion – if he denies and turns away, how wretched will be his state! 13 Knows he not that Allah does see (what he does)? 14 Yes certainly, if he does not desist, We will seize him by the forelock. 15 The lying, sinful forelock - 16 So let him call on his concourse! 17 We shall call the guards of Hell. 18 Beware! Do not obey him, but bow in adoration and draw near (to your Lord). ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
