Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 Thamud, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62
