The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 has taught the Koran. 2 He hath created man. 3 and taught him its pronunciation. 4 The sun and the moon are in a reckoning. 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 And keep up the balance with equity and do not make the measure deficient. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 18 He hath let loose the two seas. 19 but has created a barrier between them so that they will not merge totally. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 Out of them come Pearls and Coral: 22 Which, of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
