The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Hallow thou the name of thine Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates, then makes complete, 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 Who brings out the pastures 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall ease thee unto the Easing. 8 So remind them if reminder is profitable: 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 And remembers (glorifies) the Name of his Lord (worships none but Allah), and prays (five compulsory prayers and Nawafil additional prayers). 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 and the world to come is better, and more enduring. 17 This is surely in the earlier Books, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
