Whomsoever We grant a long life, We reverse him in his constitution. Do they still not understand? 68 We did not teach him (to wit, the Messenger) poetry and it does not behove him. This is none but an Admonition, and a Clear Book 69 to warn all who are truly alive, and to justify the word [God's verdict] against the deniers. 70 Have they not seen what We have created from the labor of Our own hands? We have given them cattle. 71 And We have subjected them to them, so some of them they have to ride upon, and some of them they eat. 72 They derive a variety of benefits and drinks from them. Will they, then, not give thanks? 73 And take other gods apart from God that they may perhaps give them help. 74 (But) they shall not be able to assist them, and they shall be a host brought up before them. 75 So be not grieved by what they say. We certainly know what they hide and disclose. 76 Has the human not seen how We created him from a drop (of sperm)? Yet he is a clear opponent. 77 And he strikes out a likeness for Us and forgets his own creation. Says he: Who will give life to the bones when they are rotten? 78 Say: 'He shall quicken them, who originated them the first time; He knows all creation, 79 [It is] He who made for you from the green tree, fire, and then from it you ignite. 80 Is not He, Who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the like of them? Yes, indeed! He is the All-Knowing Supreme Creator. 81 His command, when He desires a thing, is to say to it 'Be,' and it is. 82 Wherefore hallowed be He in whose hand is the governance of everything, and unto whom ye shall be returned. 83
