The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 By the angels driving away. 2 Then those who recite, being mindful, 3 Verily your Ilah (God) is indeed One (i.e. Allah); 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 To make them flee, and for them is a never-ending punishment. 9 Save him who snatcheth a fragment, and there pursueth him a piercing flame. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 Nay! you wonder while they mock, 12 And when they are admonished, they receive not admonition. 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, how can we be raised again, 16 And our forefathers? 17 Say thou: and verily ye; shall then be despicable. 18 There is but one Shout, and lo! they behold, 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 'This is the Day of Decision, even that you cried lies to. 21
