The Human (Al-Insan)
31 verses, revealed in Medina after The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman) before Divorce (Al-Talaaq)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
There surely came over man a period of time when he was a thing not worth mentioning. 1 We created the human being from the union of sperm and egg to test him. We gave him hearing and vision. 2 Surely We showed him the Right Path, regardless of whether he chooses to be thankful or unthankful (to his Lord). 3 We have indeed kept prepared chains, and shackles and a blazing fire for the disbelievers. 4 As to the Righteous, they shall drink of a Cup (of Wine) mixed with Kafur,- 5 a source [of bliss] whereof God's servants shall drink, seeing it flow in a flow abundant. 6 They fulfil their pledges, and fear a day the evil of which is widespread. 7 And they feed with food, for love of Him, the needy, and the orphan and the captive. 8 [saying, in their hearts,] "We feed you for the sake of God alone: we desire no recompense from you, nor thanks: 9 We fear the dismal day calamitous from our Lord." 10 So God has guarded them from the evil of that day, and has procured them radiancy and gladness, 11 And gave them Paradise and silk clothes, as a reward for their patience. 12 Reclining therein upon couches, they shall behold therein neither sun nor hurting cold. 13 And the shades of the (Garden) will come low over them, and the bunches (of fruit), there, will hang low in humility. 14 They will be served with silver dishes and crystal clear goblets. 15 (Bright as) glass but (made) of silver, which they (themselves) have measured to the measure (of their deeds). 16 And they shall be made to drink therein a cup the admixture of which shall be ginger, 17 from a spring named salsabil. 18 ۞ There wait on them immortal youths, whom, when thou seest, thou wouldst take for scattered pearls. 19 And when thou lookest, it is there thou wilt see a Bliss and a Realm Magnificent. 20 Upon them there will be garments of green silk, rich brocade, and they will be adorned with bracelets of silver. Their Lord will give them a pure beverage to drink. 21 "This in truth is your recompense, and acceptance of your endeavours." 22

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
