The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Most Beneficent (Allah)! 1 Hath made known the Qur'an. 2 He hath created man. 3 Has taught him the knowledge of the past and the future. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 And the plants and the trees prostrate (for Him). 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 In order that you may not corrupt the balance. 8 but weigh things equitably and skimp not in the balance. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 Grain with husk, and fragrant grasses. 12 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 He is the Lord of the East and West through all seasons. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
