The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
CONSIDER the night as it veils [the earth] in darkness, 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 And by Who created the male and female, 3 Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends). 4 So for one who gave and practised piety 5 and confirms the reward most fair, 6 Unto him therefore We shall indeed make easy the path to ease. 7 And as for him who stinteth and is heedless, 8 And denied the best matter, 9 We shall facilitate for him the way to Hardship, 10 And his wealth will not avail him when he perishes. 11 BEHOLD, it is indeed for Us to grace [you] with guidance; 12 And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world). 13 I have warned you about the fierce blazing fire 14 in which none shall be roasted except the most wretched sinner, 15 who belied and turned away, 16 One who fears God shall be kept away from it -- 17 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 not as payment for favours received, 19 But only seeking the Countenance of his Lord the Most High. 20 And he is going to be satisfied. 21
Almighty God's Truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
