Say (O Muhammad SAW): "O you mankind! If you are in doubt as to my religion (Islam), then (know that) I will never worship those whom you worship, besides Allah. But I worship Allah Who causes you to die, I am commanded to be one of the believers. 104 "And further (thus): 'set thy face towards religion with true piety, and never in any wise be of the Unbelievers; 105 Do not pray to, other than Allah, to anything that can neither help nor harm you, for if you do, you will become a harmdoer. 106 If Allah touches you an affliction none can remove it except He; and if He wills any good for you, none can repel His Bounty. He causes it to fall upon whosoever of His worshippers that He will. He is the Forgiving, the Most Merciful.' 107 Say, "Mankind, Truth has come to you from your Lord! Anyone who accepts guidance is guided only for his own sake; and he who goes astray does so at his own peril. I am not appointed as your keeper." 108 Follow thou the inspiration sent unto thee, and be patient and constant, till Allah do decide: for He is the best to decide. 109

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
