But [let them always remember that] if We lengthen a human being's days, We also cause him to decline in his powers [when he grows old]: will they not, then, use their reason? 68 And We have not taught him poetry, nor is it meet for him; it is nothing but a reminder and a plain Quran, 69 to the end that it may warn everyone who is alive [of heart,] and that the word [of God] may bear witness against all who deny the truth. 70 Have they not seen how We have created for them of Our handiwork the cattle, so that they are their owners, 71 And have subjected the animals for them, so they ride some animals and eat some? 72 And for them therein are [other] benefits and drinks, so will they not be grateful? 73 They chose idols besides God in the hope of receiving help from them, but they will not be able to help them. 74 They are not able to give them succour; whereas they shall be against them host brought forward. 75 Muhammad, let not their words annoy you. We certainly know whatever they conceal or reveal. 76 Has the human being not considered that We have created him from a drop of fluid. He is openly quarrelsome. 77 And he has struck for Us a similitude and forgotten his creation; he says, 'Who shall quicken the bones when they are decayed?' 78 Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing." 79 Who hath appointed for you fire from the green tree, and behold! ye kindle from it. 80 Is not He, who created the heavens and earth, able to create the like of them? Yes indeed; He is the All-creator, the All-knowing. 81 Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, "Be!" and it is! 82 So glory be to Him, in whose hand is the dominion of everything, and unto whom you shall be returned. 83
