Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 To your Lord will all things eventually return. 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 and that it is He alone who sustains the brightest star; 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
