Noah (Nooh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Verily We! We sent Nuh unto his people saying: warn thy people ere there come unto them torment afflictive. 1 He said: 'My nation, I am a clear warner for you. 2 saying, "Serve God, and fear Him, and obey you me, 3 “He will forgive you some of your sins, and give you respite up to an appointed term; indeed the promise of Allah cannot be averted when it arrives; if only you knew.” 4 He said; 'My Lord, I have called my people by night and by day, 5 but it has had no effect on them except to make them run away. 6 And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance. 7 And lo! I have called unto them aloud, 8 Then verily I spake unto them openly and secretly. I also addressed them. 9 Then I said, "Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Surely He is the most forgiving. 10 'He will send rain to you in abundance; 11 rain from the sky, 12 What has come upon you that you do not fear the majesty of God, 13 ‘Whereas it is He Who created you in different stages?’ 14 "'See ye not how Allah has created the seven heavens one above another, 15 and made the moon therein a light, and made the sun a lamp, 16 God produced you from the earth like a vegetable growth; 17 He will then return you back to it, and bring you out again. 18 ‘And it is Allah Who made the earth a bed for you.’ 19 so that you may tread its spacious paths.” 20
