The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 Except what Allah wills; indeed He knows all the evident and all the concealed. 7 We shall ease you to follow the way of Ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 Who will enter the great Fire and made to taste its burning, 12 Wherein he will neither die nor live. 13 Prosperous is he who purifies himself, 14 and remembers the Name of his Lord, so he prays. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
