The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the early hours of morning, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muhammad], nor has He detested [you]. 3 And verily the latter portion will be better for thee than the former, 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And found thee lost on thy way, and guided thee? 7 And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient. 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with oppression, 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 Therefor of the bounty of thy Lord be thy discourse. 11
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
