The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the sky containing great stars 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 and were witnessing what they did to the believers. 7 They had no other reason for hating them except that they believed in God the mighty, worthy of praise, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great attainment. 11 The vengeance of God is terribly severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Owner of the Throne, the Exalted. 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 of the Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 In the Preserved Tablet. 22
