3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah cried to Us, and how excellent was Our response! 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 "Then what is your idea about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 So they (people) advanced towards him, hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
