And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon on both of them in the latter (generations), 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 He told his people, "Why do you not have fear of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 Peace be upon Elias. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
