Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 And when the stars fall, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 and when the scrolls [of men's deeds] are unfolded, 10 And when the sky is stripped away 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 I swear by the receding stars, 15 stars which are visible during the night 16 and the night that falls, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east). 23 And Muhammad is not a withholder of [knowledge of] the unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Where then are you going? 26 This is naught but an admonition unto the worlds 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
