The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO witness the chargers, snorting, rushing to battle before the others, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 And penetrate forthwith into the midst (of the foe) en masse;- 5 Indeed man is very ungrateful towards his Lord. 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 for, verily, to the love of wealth is he most ardently devoted. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 their Lord will examine his deeds? 11
Almighty God's Truth.
