Say: 'I am only a warner. There is not any god but God, the One, the Omnipotent, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say: 'This is a mighty message 67 From which you turn away. 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 When your Lord said to the angels: 'I am creating a human from clay, 71 "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him." 72 Then the angels, all of them, prostrated themselves before Adam 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 'Begone' said He, 'you are stoned'. 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 He said: "O Lord, give me respite till the day the dead rise from their graves." 79 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 80 Until the day of the time appointed. 81 (Iblis) said: “By Your glory, I shall mislead them all 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say: "I do not ask any compensation of you for it, nor am I a specious pretender. 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
