Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

We have set in heaven constellations and decked them out fair to the beholders, 16 and We have guarded it from every accursed devil: 17 but if anyone eavesdrops, he is pursued by a bright flaming fire. 18 And We spread out the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and in it grew all things by a proper measure. 19 And We have provided therein means of subsistence,- for you and for those for whose sustenance ye are not responsible. 20 And there is not a thing the treasure* of which is not with Us; and We do not send it down except by a known measure. (* The power to create it.) 21 We send impregnating winds and send down water from the sky for you to drink and you have no (control over its) storage. 22 And most surely We bring to life and cause to die and We are the heirs. 23 And indeed, We know the first generations of you who had passed away, and indeed, We know the present generations of you (mankind), and also those who will come afterwards. 24 It is your Lord who will gather them. He is all wise and all knowing. 25
