A token unto them is the dead earth. We revive it, and We bring forth from it grain so that they eat thereof; 33 And We placed therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines and caused to burst forth therefrom some springs - 34 so that they may eat its fruit, though it was not their hands that made this. Will they not then be grateful? 35 Holy is He who created all things in pairs; of what the earth grows, and of themselves, and other things which they do not know. 36 They have a sign in the night: We withdraw from it the [light of] day -- and they are left in darkness. 37 The sun, too, follows its determined course laid down for it by the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day. They all float, each in an orbit. 40 Another sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark. 41 and [that] We create for them things of a similar kind, on which they may embark [in their travels]; 42 And if We will, We can drown them, so there would be no help in their distress, nor would they be saved. 43 except Our mercy which could enable them to enjoy themselves for an appointed time. 44 When it is said to them: 'Have fear of that which is before you and behind you in order that you find mercy' 45 yet never any sign of the signs of their Lord comes to them, but they are turning away from it. 46 And when it is said to them: “Spend (in the Way of Allah) out of the sustenance that Allah has provided you,” the unbelievers say to the believers: “Shall we feed him whom, Allah would have fed, had He so wished?” Say: “You are in evident error.” 47 And they say: "When will this promise come to pass, if what you say is true?" 48 The Truth is that they are waiting for nothing but a mighty Blast to seize them the while they are disputing (in their worldly affairs), 49 and so [sudden will be their end that] no testament will they be able to make, - nor to their own people will they return! 50
