And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 truly they were among Our faithful servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
