Kingship (Al-Mulk)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Blessed be He in whose Hand is the Kingdom, He is powerful over all things, 1 [He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving - 2 The One Who created the seven heavens atop each other; do you see any discrepancy in the creation of the Most Gracious? Therefore lift your gaze – do you see any cracks? 3 Turn your eyes again and again. Your gaze turns back dazed and tired. 4 And indeed We have beautified the lower heaven with lamps, and have made them weapons against the devils, and have kept prepared for them the punishment of the blazing fire. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allah) is the torment of Hell, and worst indeed is that destination. 6 When they are cast into it, they will hear its roaring as it boils up, 7 It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They will say," Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, 'Allah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.'" 9 And they say: Had we been wont to listen or have sense, we had not been among the dwellers in the flames. 10 So it is that they confess their sins. Curse the inhabitants of the Blaze! 11 Verily! Those who fear their Lord unseen (i.e. they do not see Him, nor His Punishment in the Hereafter, etc.), theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise). 12 And conceal your speech or publicize it; indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts. 13 What! Will He Who has created not know? Whereas He knows every detail, the All Aware! 14
