Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 On that day (many) faces will be downcast, 2 laboring, wornout, 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 and will be made to drink from a fiercely boiling spring. 5 No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant, 6 Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 (Other) faces on that day shall be happy, 8 with their striving well-pleased, 9 In a lofty Paradise. 10 In which they will not hear any lewd speech. 11 with a flowing spring, 12 Within it are couches raised high 13 And cups put in place 14 Cushions arranged, 15 And carpets ready spread, 16 Will they not regard the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 And so, [O Prophet,] exhort them; thy task is only to exhort: 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 But he who turns his back, and disbelieves, 23 In which case he will be punished by God with the severest punishment. 24 For to Us will be their return; 25 and then it is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
