O Children of Israel, remember My favor which I have bestowed upon you and fulfill My covenant [upon you] that I will fulfill your covenant [from Me], and be afraid of [only] Me. 40 And believe in what I have revealed, verifying that which is with you, and be not the first to deny it, neither take a mean price in exchange for My communications; and Me, Me alone should you fear. 41 And do not mix up the truth with the falsehood, nor hide the truth while you know (it). 42 And keep the (obligatory) prayer established, and pay the charity, and bow your heads with those who bow (in prayer). 43 ۞ Do you bid other people to be pious, the while you forget your own selves - and yet you recite the divine writ? Will you not, then, use your reason?! 44 And seek aid in steadfast patience and prayer: and this, indeed, is a hard thing for all but the humble in spirit, 45 who are certain of their meeting with their Lord and their return to Him. 46
