(Muhammad), recall Our servant Job. When he prayed to his Lord saying, "Satan has afflicted me with hardship and torment," 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 And We bestowed upon him new offspring, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder unto all who are endowed with insight. 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 And remember Our servants, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob - those of strength and [religious] vision. 45 We indeed gave them distinction with a genuine affair – the remembrance of the (everlasting) abode. 46 And most surely they were with Us, of the elect, the best. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhul-Kifl, and all are among the outstanding. 48 This is a reminder; and most surely there is an excellent resort for those who guard (against evil), 49 #NAME? 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste women restraining their glances, (companions) of equal age. 52 This is what you are promised for the day of reckoning. 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 Hell!- they will burn therein, - an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)!- 56 Here is a boiling and an ice-cold draught, so let them taste it, 57 And other (torment) of the kind in pairs (the two extremes)! 58 'This is a troop rushing in with you; there is no Welcome for them; they shall roast in the Fire.' 59 [And] they [who had been seduced] will exclaim: "Nay, but it is you! No welcome to you! It is you who have prepared this for us: and how vile a state to abide in!" 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 And they say: What aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the wicked? 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or is it that [they are here, and] our eyes have missed them?" 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64
