Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
O thou wrapped up in thy raiment! 1 Stand up for worship during the night, except for some part of it. 2 Half of it - or subtract from it a little 3 and recite the Quran in a distinct tone; 4 Indeed, We will cast upon you a heavy word. 5 Indeed getting up in the night is tougher, and the words flow with strength. 6 surely in the day thou hast long business. 7 But keep in remembrance the name of thy Lord and devote thyself to Him whole-heartedly. 8 He is the only Lord, so choose Him as your guardian. 9 Bear patiently whatever they say, do not yield to them and keep on preaching decently to them. 10 And leave Me Alone to deal with the beliers (those who deny My Verses, etc.), and those who are in possession of good things of life. And give them respite for a little while. 11 Verily We shall have fetters with Us, and a roaring furnace, 12 choking food and a painful punishment. 13 One Day the earth and the mountains will be in violent commotion. And the mountains will be as a heap of sand poured out and flowing down. 14 We have sent you a Messenger, who will witness your deeds, just as We sent a Messenger to the Pharaoh. 15 But Pharaoh disobeyed Our Messenger, so We seized him with a terrible seizing. 16 If you, disbelieve, how will you be able to protect yourselves from the hardships of the day which would even turn children grey-headed? 17 The heaven will split asunder with its grief; the promise of Allah will surely occur. 18 Verily this is an Admonition: therefore, whoso will, let him take a (straight) path to his Lord! 19
