Let the dead earth be a Sign for them. We gave it life and produced from it grain whereof they eat. 33 We made in it gardens of date-palms and vines, and We caused springs to gush forth 34 so that they may eat of the fruit thereof, though it was not their hands that made it. Will they not, then, be grateful? 35 Glory be to Him, Who has created all the pairs of that which the earth produces, as well as of their own (human) kind (male and female), and of that which they know not. 36 And a sign for them is the night; We strip the day out of it, thereupon they are in darkness. 37 The sun is running its course to its appointed place. That is the ordaining of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 38 And the moon! For it We have decreed mansions till it reverteth like the old branch of a palm-tree. 39 [and] neither may the sun overtake the moon, nor can the night usurp the time of day, since all of them float through space [in accordance with Our laws]. 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their offspring in the laden Ark (of Noah). 41 And We made similar vessels for them to ride. 42 Had We wanted, We could have drowned them and nothing would have been able to help or rescue them 43 save as a mercy from Us, and enjoyment for a while. 44 Whenever they are told to guard themselves against sin and the forth coming torment so that perhaps they could receive mercy 45 And whenever a sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord, they always turn away from it! 46 And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error." 47 And they say, “When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?” 48 They are awaiting only for one Cry to seize them while they are yet disputing, 49 And they will not be able to make a disposition, nor to their family they return. 50
