And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 We granted them a Clear Book, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And indeed Ilyas is one of the Noble Messengers. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be unto Elyasin. 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
