Hizb 46
< random >
And verily Yunus was of the sent ones. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We cast him, upon the shore, and he was ill, 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 Unquestionably, it is out of their [invented] falsehood that they say, 151 "Allah has begotten children"? but they are liars! 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 God is far above what they attribute to Him, 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 For, verily, neither ye nor those ye worship- 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 Of us there is none but hath a station assigned. 164 Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 What, would they then say: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 we would certainly be true servants of God." 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 and see, and soon they too shall see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Glory be to your Lord, the Lord of Honor, above what they describe. 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 and praise belongs to God, the Lord of all Being. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
