Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 until an appointed time? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
