Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And when the Graves are turned upside down;- 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you, proportioned you, and balanced you? 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 who know what you do. 12 the virtuous will dwell in bliss, 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 In which they will enter, and taste its burning flame on the Day of Recompense, 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
