Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves), 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 Truly man is, to his Lord, ungrateful; 6 And most surely he is a witness of that. 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Verily, that Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) their Lord will be Well-Acquainted with them (as to their deeds), (and will reward them for their deeds). 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
