We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Verily! They were two of Our believing slaves. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 Behold, he said to his people, "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call upon Baal and forsake the Best of the Creators? 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
