The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 Their brother Lot asked them, "Why do you not have fear of God? 161 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you. 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 I ask of you no recompense for this; my reward is only with the Lord of the Universe. 164 "Go you in unto the males of the 'Alamin (mankind), 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 Said they: "Indeed, If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt most certainly be expelled [from this township]!" 167 He said: "I am, indeed, of those who disapprove with severe anger and fury your (this evil) action (of sodomy). 168 "O my Lord! deliver me and my family from such things as they do!" 169 So We saved him and all his people, 170 all but an old woman, who was among those that stayed behind; 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 174 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Most Compassionate. 175
