Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 "Eat and drink with relish as reward for what you had done." 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Eat and enjoy for a while: You are certainly sinners. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 "Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches." 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
