The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 your Lord has not forsaken you (Prophet Muhammad), nor does He hate you. 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find you as an orphan and give you shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And do not drive the beggar away, 10 and proclaim the bounty of your Lord. 11
