THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Surely both of them were among Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
