In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Ha. Mim. 1 This is a revelation from the Compassionate, the Merciful. 2 a Book whose revelations are well expounded, an Arabic Quran for people who possess knowledge, 3 As a giver of good tidings and a warner; but most of them turn away, so they do not hear. 4 They say: "Our hearts are under veils, (concealed) from that to which thou dost invite us, and in our ears is a deafness, and between us and thee is a screen: so do thou (what thou wilt); for us, we shall do (what we will!)" 5 Say: I am only a mortal like you; it is revealed to me that your Allah is one Allah, therefore follow the right way to Him and ask His forgiveness; and woe to the polytheists; 6 [and] those who do not spend in charity: for it is they, they who [thus] deny the truth of the life to come! 7 [But,] verily, they who have attained to faith and do good works shall have a reward unending! 8
