The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be wound round, 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 and when all beasts are gathered together, 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls shall be rejoined (with their bodies), 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 For what sin she was killed 9 And when the books are spread, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 Rather, I swear by the returning 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 it is indeed the word of an Honorable Messenger, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. (Other angels obey angel Jibreel). 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 So where are you going? 26 It is naught but a reminder for the nations, 27 To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight, 28 However, you will not be able to choose anything unless God, Lord of the Universe wills it to be so. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
